Our 100% pure Lemongrass (Cymbopogon Flexuosus) is a potent astringent and is great for facial toners or applied to oily skin. It is also great at lifting the spirits and focusing the mind. Lemongrass is cultivated throughout Asia for its potent scent and is used in cuisine and medicinal preparations throughout the world. Traditional Indian medicine uses Lemongrass Essential Oil to treat infectious illnesses and fever.

Extraction Method:   Steam distilled from leaves grown in India

Main Properties:  Analgesic, Anti- Inflammatory, Antiseptic, Insect Repellant, Sedative 

Aromatic Scent: Fresh Earthy, Citrusy Scent

Blends Well With: Lavender, Marjoram

At the Office:

1. Reach for Lemongrass when a client has an issue with ligaments or excess muscle tension. Apply a few drops with your base oil and apply.

2. Great as a diffuser on our AromaDisc with our Salt Bowl – the aroma is amazing!

3. Compress: Apply a hot wet towel and a dry towel on top of an already massaged area, that has a few drops of marjoram / lemongrass and base oil. The moist heat will drive the oils deeper into the tissues of the body.

At Home:

1. Fever:  Great as a companion with peppermint. Mix a few drops with bare oil, rub on base of feet, and put on socks.

2. Dishwashing:  A few drops in the dishwasher helps to clean dishes and remove grease. 3 – 5 drops in either the dishwasher or with dish soap.

3. Insect Repellant:  Diffuse with water or apply through spray mist with water (2-5% dilution)

4. Painting:  Add 1 teaspoon to a gallon of paint, stir well and paint. It effectively erases paint fumes and after smell
